Understory Harvest Week: Boo Bash
Your ticket (GET YOUR TICKETS HERE) includes a beverage experience at multiple stops. Drinks are pre-selected for this event, but guests can order additional drinks from the Lounge, Commons, or Fieldhouse bars with cash/credit card.
Arrive at 6:30pm to check-in on the Main Floor Hallway for Drink #1 and then venture to the Commons for Drink #2. The Event Space/Dance Area will open at 7pm promptly for the final Drink #3 and then start your dancing.
Dress in your most creative costumes and howl the night away with us at Understory!

Wetlands Walk Plates & Pours: Fish of the Olentangy
Wetlands Walk: “Fish of the Olentangy”

Step into the Olentangy River and discover the fish that call it home. Join experts from Ohio State’s Olentangy River Wetland Research Park for a hands-on look at how researchers capture, identify and study local fish, including the story of efforts to reintroduce the bluebreast darter to the Olentangy. Guests who want to get a little closer to the action can borrow waders and join us in the water. (Waders will be provided; simply select your shoe size when registering. Participation in the water is optional.)
Afterward, we’ll head back to Understory for a three course small-plate meal paired with a guided beer tasting.
Date: Sunday, October 18th
Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Itinerary:
2:00–3:00 PM: Aperitif and arrival at Understory.
3:00–3:15 PM: Walk together to the Wetlands.
3:15–4:15 PM: Explore the fish of the Olentangy with Ohio State experts. See electrofishing and seining (techniques researchers use to safely capture and study fish) up close, encounter local river species and hear the story of the bluebreast darter's reintroduction. Guests may also borrow waders and join the team in the water.
4:15–4:30 : Walk back to Understory.
4:30–Beyond: Beer pairing with three or four small-plate courses.

Wetlands Walk + Beer Tasting: “Migratory Birds & Spring Activity”

Celebrate the arrival of spring at the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park (u.osu.edu/orwrpramsar) with a guided experience highlighting the season’s dynamic wildlife and landscapes. Join local bird experts, Dr. Chris Tonra and Matt Shumar, for an engaging walk focused on migratory birds and the vibrant flora and fauna of the wetlands.
The program includes a brief introduction to effective birding with binoculars, as well as a quick, user-friendly overview of eBird—so you can easily record and share your sightings. This guided tour will showcase the bird species that rely on these wetlands during their seasonal migration.
Following the walk, return to Understory to enjoy a thoughtfully curated, seasonal three-course meal with beer pairings, inspired by the natural beauty of spring at the wetlands.

New Year's Eve Cowboy Disco Party
